Essential Job Functions

Position: Dispatcher

Department: MotorService

Primary Responsibilities: (guestinteraction, ordering responsibilities, cleanup duties, clericalresponsibilities,etc.)

·Operate thecommunication center equipment and radio

·Coordinate guest arrivals, departures andmanifest

·Dispatch and communicate,using approved method and language

·Receive telephone and othermessages,make appropriate communication and notifications

·Ability to stay calm under stressful conditions

·Cover dispatch positions at front door and motorservice

·Ability to bill clients for services usingcomputer systems

·Ability to quote rates accurately

·Check daily distribution at the beginning ofeach shift

SecondaryResponsibilities:

·Maintain department administrativeequipment

·Provideinput to Director and Managers

·Work closely with conference services and frontoffice staff

Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days)

·Varies, shift work, 40 hours per week

·Overtime when needed

·Other duties as assigned

Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type ofwork, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)

·General secretarial and clericalexperience

·Dispatcherexperience

·Guest service contact preferred

Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification,highest required/preferred, field of study)

·High School Diploma or G.E.D. required

Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone,in-person, group; Written: memos,documents)

·Good telephone etiquette

·Excellent verbal, phone and communication skills

·Useof two-way radio

Technical Requirements:

·Familiar with two-way radio procedures

·Working knowledge of various computer programs

·CDL (Class B ) preferred

·Passenger endorsement preferred
